Early Thursday morning, I found this handsome little feller in the pasture. I was trying to jinx her into foaling before I left town to go camping, so I left her out by herself almost. It worked!
Think he looks like daddy He sure got his markings--you can see all that white from a mile away. Baby boy has two hind white socks though--the blaze sure is similar Now lets hope he can show like daddy. You can see these pics and more at his site peptotaz.com

An excellent development
I was hunting some info today and ran across news of Diablo's first baby (a 2004 stallion), who we called Magnum. His real name is High Brow Desperado, and he now lives in Colorado.
Darren Miller is riding him in NRCHA events, and he recently took reserve in the Open Derby at the Blue Sky Firecracker Derby.
Isn't that great?
I emailed his owners and hope to hear back from them, I would love to post a photo of him on here to show him off but I am not about to poach one from their site. You can see him there at

I am SO proud of him, and thrilled to report that Diablo is a producer with her first foal, that is pretty impressive and does not happen every day. Since he is still so young, I expect great things from him in the future.
Congrats to his new owners!

Two for one
I love these babies, I took a jillion pics, so I will spare you all but a few and slowly add them in over the next few days. It will be hard to pick the good ones----I kind of wore myself out over there. BUT, both babies are so cute, I cannot stand it.
They are both gorgeous---a lot of it is relief on my end, since these were my only maidens this year. We have had the regular issues, but Aries is so proud of her baby, it is a hoot. And she squeals and talks and groans through all his nursing, which is like a symphony over there. A bad one, but a symphony all the same. Bree suggested the name Uno, which I likeAnd this bay filly---she may look like a regular filly to everyone else, but this one is special to me.
The bay filly is sure a long legged monkey to come from such a little mama.
Gypsy did not have an easy delivery and I will feel much better after she is flushed and has an internal exam
