Our Christmas

What is this, Stage 3 or Stage 4 of Christmas 2007? We used to spend Christmas running all over the interstate, with no time to ourselves, but for the last few years, we have insisted on being home along on Christmas morning and it is swell.

I was up early, and when I got things in order, I found this scene--Thor trying to get Barry out of bed so Christmas could start. Doesn't that look warm and cuddly and happy? Unless you have to get up to go to the bathroom or something, which is virtually impossible with that many dogs penning you in bed. But to look at, this looks festive, doesn't it?

This is our Christmas tree----note that there are lights only on the bottom of the tree--even worse, it is a pre-lit tree. Oh well, at least we got it out, which we did not even bother with last year, I do not think.

Anyway, this is Barry's kind of significant gift-- special scuba mask for "special" people. It protects his ears so that he can keep diving without his brain exploding and bleeding out underwater. That would put a damper on our dive trips, I think. He is now playing with his Soduko-a-Day calendar that does not even start til January 1--that may have been a mistake

I got lots of swell things as usual--a new underwater camera for our trips--and it looks REALLY nice. It is a 5. megapixel safe to up to 130 feet under water. I cannot wait to try it out. I almost cried when our pics from St Maarten sucked so bad, so that won't happen again. He also got me piles of clothes as usual, and most are sizes smaller than I would have bought, but THEY FIT! That was very exciting. And I got a new stethoscope for the barn, and good Dead Sea manicure stuff and a big honking flat TV for the bedroom. What a switch from 19 inches to 32!

The next portion of our day was spent outside. It was 51 degrees when we went to the barn about 11:30. On the way, I saw these nice things. Doesn't the Fonz look like a Chrismas pony? He looks like a baby Yak to me.

Fonz was not the only one having a Christmas laydown--all the boys were resting. It was such a beautiful day, no wonder they were chilling in the sun. They probably have 100 extra pounds of dried mud on them, but whatever makes them happy is all right I guess.

Boce had a nice day out eating a lovely pumpkin, so he is a happy pig. We did not get around to taking the Christmas ham picture, but I will get to it.

We went to the farm, where LeaAnn had puppies. There is not much cuter than puppies! We dewormed everyone under two, finished baby booster shots, and went to the movies.

After the movies, Barry played with his toys, and I took a nap (well everyone else did, why shouldn't I?) Since then, I have made lasagna, we ate too much and now are watching about the 14th hour of VH1's Best songs of the 90s. Those shows crack me up! It is possible we are now watching the second round of the same shows, who knows anymore? It will be just as funny on the big TV in my room!

I love the Fonz, he is sooo adorable. Is he just a pet or is he broke to ride?
