Our Senate voted 59-0 in favor of ousting our dear stupid governor, Rod Blagojevich.
Hallelujah!
They also voted to bar him from ever holding public office in Illinois again. That won't be an issue if he ends up in the federal pen--which he probably will--but is a nice touch all the same.
How humiliating it is to be a part of this government, now that every one knows how stupid our governor is. It was bad enough to work for the state and wonder if you were going to get paid, because he was too busy showing his ass to get a budget passed, and now we have the icing on the cake--
Lord have mercy--what a day in Illinois history.
Welcome, new governor Quinn--good luck in unraveling the mess you have inherited

Today's tirade: Gov Bloho and his band of merry idiots
Our fearless leader in the garb he might as well wear every day if he is going to continue to act like a clownI tried to post this once, and it froze up my computer and I had to shut down. Hmm...how bout that--dissension among the ranks is stopped just before publication. Now I really sound insane.
As humiliating as it is to admit, I actually voted for this fool. Here we are on August 7, 68 days past the start of the fiscal year and still no budget. Today in the paper, Blago is quoted as saying that August 8 is an arbitrary deadline, contrary to the Comptroller's assertion that if the budget is not signed by then, he will not be able to pay 4,900 state workers, or send the first round of money to schools who are supposed to open in the next few weeks. What does Blago know about it? Bet he is getting paid. After all, this is the same man who emailed a letter to all of us begging us to keep working lest we cause a government shutdown. Why is that my problem? I am doing my job, it is him and his enemies that cannot get along well enough to do their stinking jobs.
I am beginning to think that he is so obnoxious about refusing to compromise on anything that if you told him he can have everything he wants, then out of habit, he would say NO.
That may be the truest statement I have heard all day, since the politicians are getting paid and I am not.
