the new 'do

Now keep in mind that I have insanely curly hair--like corkscrew curls if I do not touch it, or big frizz if I do. Straight hair is the holy grail for me. Only Liza can do it like this after she cuts it. I can get close sometimes, just have a hard time making it last. That is why I want that Brazilian Blowout affair.

I realize that every straight hair person will tell me I am nuts, but I want a change. I think it needs to grow another 3 or 4 inches--which is only a couple of months for me--so by summer, surely it will be as long as I want it.

So what say you? Good plan, bad plan? Do you hate it? And the big question--am I way too old to be having long hair?

You have the curls I pay for, I have the bone straight locks you crave.
I still wonder if Brazilian Blowout has to do with your head, because I asked my husband if he'd ever heard of that, and he waggled his eyebrows at me while grabbing his junk. I was laughing too hard to even consider what he was obviously suggesting.

What the hell is too old for long hair? I say bullshit - I think you look awesome with your new do, though I have to say I also really like your curls, even if they are a pain in your ass.

I absolutely LOVE it!
I have a sister with hair like yours and weather only makes it frizzier.

The thing about us "straight-hair" folks is that for most of us, we have "options". If we want to scrunch and go for a wavy look, we can. If we want to curl it all, we can. If we want straight and sleek, we can.

But for people with really fine hair or those with really curly hair, the options are far and few between. It's more like, "up or Down?" or "long or short?"

As far as being too old to have long hair? never! go watch tangled and you'll see. hahaha...j/k. I get a lot of compliments since I have grown my hair out. As long as you keep it trimmed and healthy and a few long layers, I think it will look good curly or straight.

I say, if it makes you feel good then go for it! :)

Well, if you are too old for long hair then I am too old for long hair....and I am growing mine out so that I can put it in a pony tail this summer. LOL I like your curly hair - it suits you. But this straight do does make you look all grown up. I like the color too.

No, no, no! Age should have nothing to do with hair length. How hard is it going to be to keep straight? I love the color.

Jodi, you just think it looks like me because it makes me look like I have escaped from an insane asylum most of the time.

I mostly like it too, since it requires no work--in fact, doing anything to it makes it worse.

I just need to change a lot of things to perk me up. Hair is easy.

I went a little lighter to get ready for the spring--I want to still go a bit lighter, like it was when I was younger

It won't be as easy as it is now, but I can do it--at least some times. The rest of the time it should be less frizzy. And the flat iron will work better on it. Even if it is just like it was today, with some effort put into it, I will be happy--today was good hair

I do not want to be that crazy ol woman with gray frizz hanging down to her butt, who thinks she is really styling. I have enough problems

Love the darker color.....you may wanna check into the Brazilian Blowout before doing it. I asked my hair dresser and she said a lot of people were getting seriously sick from it. It contains Formaldehyde.
On a side note, I know a lady that has used it almost 2 years now...she does hers every 6 months and loves it, has had no troubles.

Your NEVER too old for long hair ;)

Well, I'm not crazy about the straight. But I do like the color and the length, more longer would not be bad.

Your hair looks beautiful on you. No you are not too old :)
Your hair color looks like my hair color right now.

Ahem! From 'one' who knows.

YOU ARE AS YOUNG AS YOU FEEL

Or

AGE IS A MATTER OF THE MIND AND IF YOU HAVE NO MIND---IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Have you noticed those 'gray-haired old ladies' with stylish long hair that look georgeous! It wasn't me by the way but it looks good on them.

Go for it---I think you look nice and I don't think you are too old ---
Enjoy Carol

Dang it, you made me go look in the mirror...

As a 41y/o with very long, fine and straight-as-a-string hair, I had to double check to make sure I wasn't too old for my 'do'.

I don't think so...

Yet! (LMAO)

I think your hair looks great. Wear it the way that makes YOU happy. That's all that matters. ;-)

I love the color and the straight hair looks good on ya. So does the curly hair. I'm a curly hair fan. Mine isn't straight or curly. You're never to old for long styled hair.

Get your "blow job" and if you don't like it, it will grow out. :)

What is a Brazillian blowout? I am afraid to google it since it sounds dirty and all I can imagine is an exotic beach vacation and a hot cabana boy. LOL
