The new baby boy has finally gotten to venture outside. We had a gorgeous day today, so it was ideal for taking some photos of mama and baby outside.
Isn't he darling?
Something about him just gets to me, I do not know if it is that sweet face or his funny little tail, or how agile he is. Tonight, I snuck up on him in his stall, and he was standing parallel to the door, peeing. I could hear him, so I knew he was doing it. The very second he caught sight of me, he shot sideways toward the back of the stall so fast, it was a blur. He went so quick that he could not shut off the stream, and I almost got caught in the cross fire. Who knew babies could pee UP? He is a catty little thing, already.
Here is his funny little tail. It is always sticking straight out, or hanging over to the side, all curly like a pig tail. In fact, its end is more twisted up than the actual pig's tail is.
Getting a good head shot was not easy. This was take one. Check out his funny little lip--I think the top lip is stuck inside the bottom one. That happens with the Danes a lot.
This was almost the right shot. But he is making faces again--look at his nostril all jacked up.
We are getting closer here, but still his nose is all goofy. And his ear is pointing the wrong direction.
Maybe tomorrow. I will sure have a good time trying to get the right shot, as he so fun to shoot--I got all kinds of funny results.
I am trying to think of a name for him. Had he been born the day before, his name might have been Meradas Blue Fool....but nope, not born on April Fools Day. I am open to suggestions on this one--mamas real name is Aristagal. Her sire is Smart Aristocrat, her dam is Waltons Young Gun by Young Gun.
I want a call name that is tough sounding--I have no idea why, as he sure does not look like a bad ass, but that is what is calling to me. I considered Spike, but I am not sold on it completely. And remember, no people names.
Leave your ideas in the comments--I will know it when I see it

Tango is my suggestion. And he sure is a good looking horse! Congrats :-)
I will have to think on the names but dang woman, those are great photos.
He is a darling darling little guy.
Buster. He looks like a Buster! Sooo cute, and such a ham :)
God, he is gorgeous. I have no idea on a name as I am not part of that world. But that tuft of mane showing between his ears? That should be part of it. Too cute!
How about Tough Guns?
You yourself referred to him as
1. Prince
2. Chief
3. Thunder
4. Spike
5. Boss
Carol
He is adorable. Not helping with names as I am drawing a blank.
LOVING the look of the grass...very envious. We still have 2 feet of snow to melt off before we will see even brown grass.
Come on spring!!!
tough guy names:
Buser
Rocky
Tigre
Curly
Bugsy
Speedy ...cuz he is fast, not tough :)
Pistol.
Two suggestions: If you watch General Hospital you know that Nicolas Cassadine is a real prince, so he could be Cassadine. or: If you watch the new show Castle- a prince lives in a Castle, so Castle.hooves
I love his piggy tail!
Oh my gosh, I have been away for too long!! He is soooo cute! I love that closeup with his lip tucked up. He looks like a tough guy. Like he's saying "bring it on!"
