I am joining in with Tena's Kiss my Fat Blog Ass method of keeping track of my weight program every Monday. She is doing that here http://therapyfortena.blogspot.com/ -- feel free to join us.
On Mondays, we are to check in and talk about how our week went with our self-improvement programs.
My week this week does not have a lot to offer--and I do not know that I can bring myself to post actual numbers like the other ones are doing. I have an awful lot of shame. I can tell you that last Wednesday is when I last weighed, and I was down 10.5 pounds since January 6. On Monday, and Tuesday I went spinning, and on Monday I did aerobics as well---then my trip interfered
And then I went to Las Vegas. I will probably put off weighing until next Monday if I can stand to wait that long--which I probably can since obviously, throwing down cocktails like it is my job is not good for the program. I did not eat much, which is good, and we walked miles and miles and miles, so it was not at all a completely slothful weekend. Not a good one, but not as bad as I would have expected.
As of tomorrow, I am back on the exercise program. My feet were still too sore and swollen to do it today, I swear. Plus, I absolutely had to take a nap after work.
All I have to add for this week is that I am lighter now than I have been for at least 2 years. I have at least 70 pounds to go, and ideally, 85 more would be nice.
This is a photo from Saturday nite at a club in Vegas--I am on the right. The photo is a little misleading, but shows how fat I am--those are some skinny chicks I am with there. Because of my scars, I am skinny on the right side, and fat on the left--crazy huh? Anyway, this is my fat side. And that was the last beer I had on this trip--at like midnite on Saturday. Nothing since, although I gave it some thought tonight. It has been surprisingly easy to cut it out--if I have NONE, I am fine. If I have one, I will have SOME. So of the things that I am most proud of, it is cutting out random unnecessary beer drinking---I hope I can keep that up. I will not give it up altogether, as happy hour with friends is one of my favorite things, and I don't want to give up all my fun stuff in life, but it is better than nothing.
Just participating in this is one more level of accountability for me---

yay- glad you're back from Vegas and ready to go- congrats on your head start!
Good luck! You're still beautiful!
Giving up all fun stuff is not a good thing to do. And you have more willpower than damn near anyone I know so you will lose the weight. I have the faith.
that is a really good photo of you, shows off those pretty eyes and face.
This is a very big step. I'm proud of you. Of course, I always am.

OMG I was hoping you were talking about your weight, and not leaving the blog world! Whew! You are beautiful! Are you at Toby Keiths??? lol Thats where Meg and Lori and I met up. Looks like you had just as much fun. Have you tried B-12 shots? They help speed up your metabolism. Good for you, and I know you will make your goal!

As much as you are working out, there's no way you can't lose weight! I lost 70 lbs about 5 years ago. If I can do it, you can do it! Keep up the good work!
Best wishes! Here's to attaining your goal! Cheers!
Welcome to the party!! I look forward to keeping up with everyone's progress each week. I love that we can kick each others butts like this. I have a great feeling about this one!!
I'm glad you had fun in Vegas!
The past two weeks I've lost almost 8 pounds. It's called the "Lose Your Job" diet. hee hee. Really it's b/c now that I'm home all the time, I clean the house, etc and I work out a couple times a day now.
You go girl- holding yourself accountable will show results!!
Dear Follower:
To occupy your brain while you are on your diet, we recommend checking out our site again. The staff has been on hiatus as we rebuilt our site and have it hosted by GoDaddy but WE ARE BACK! This new format will more effectively waste your time. We have 2 new articles. One from SonnyGirl (I only sleep with Democrats) and one from LC (Yes, I know exactly where that is). Let us know what you think of the new style. I wanted to email this to you but could not find your contact info.
Sincerely,
LC and the RUFKM Army

Are You F---ing Kidding Me??
Oh way I need to do that. Maybe next week. lol Good luck to you!
You're so dark! How much tanning have you been doing? You look so much healthier too!
So amazed at your commitment. You've inspired me. I'm on the wagon. I actually went RUNNING today. Can you imagine running with my fat butt? I felt bad for the people who were driving by me.
Anyway, congrats on your loss so far. You're so OCD that I have no doubt that you'll do it.
Love the pics! So cute to see you and Amy B together again... the saga continues.
