Day 1 of Debauchery and Hedonism tour '09

I am hardly ready to do a full update of the goings on since we have arrived, but I was afraid that if I did not post soon, I would forget some good stuff. Plus, I already missed posting yesterday but if knew the crazy stuff that went on yesterday, you would not be shocked at that.

So a little taste for you of the time spent here so far.

We spent most of the day yesterday doing a little shopping, and eating lunch at a great restaurant called the Yard, where Bonnie and David met us. Bonnie had her heart set on Margaritaville nachos, so that was our next stop--we spent hours there running up a healthy tab and drinking girly drinks and meeting a lot of fun people. Most of the rest of our group arrived sometime during the day from various places around the country- and they met us there. From there we came back to get ready to go out for the nite--We took this absurd Hummer limo to the Pepper Mill for some special drink that David is all about.

They are called Scorpion Bowls. I have no idea what is in them, but we had four of them and some champagne and some fruit and cheese and appetizers. It was a cool place.

The Pepper Mill had some neat features like this fire pit that had water in it. There were low couches all the way around it.

This is the only picture of the whole group of us. This was taken in the wine bar at our hotel before we went out.

The rest of the nite was a little nuts. From the Pepper Mill we went to Tao, where we had some special treatment. I was just about full up of special treatment by then though, so it did not take long for me to get my fill and give up.

I came back to the hotel, had some interesting offers from my cab driver, and took my happy ass to bed. I understand from the stories trickling in now that most of the girls are home that part of us were thrown out of Tao--which follows up well from me and Amy being thrown out of the Forty Deuce the nite before, which is a whole other story. A really good one too but I will save it.

Other than part being thrown out of Tao, the rest of the group went on to the Bank, which they really liked. While there, Amy found out some boy she knew (from Michigan) was also in town, right across the hall from the Bank. It sounds like our party was growing by leaps and bounds all nite. They must have looked like an army of crazy people wreaking havoc all over town.

Today is a new day--it is raining, and we are all starving--so we are headed out for the day. I have no idea what the festivities will be tonight, but I think we have determined who will carry on the tradition of being thrown out of a nightclub---

Stay tuned!
