I admit, I am obsessed. I suspect that does not come as a shock to many of you.
Right now, I am obsessed with who you people are? Specifically, my followers–all of you, of course. But specifically, the ones that do not have their own blogs, so I can kind of figure out what your deal is, or keep your profile private–so I cannot even put my investigative skills to work and figure out your deal from that. I get anxious not knowing things you know-- I need some facts to work with.
So let’s play a game–how bout you followers you–and whoever else wants to play–tell us three things about yourself that define you. It will be fun, and help all of you get to know each other as well–and maybe you will discover some new friends. The followers that have blogs I check in on all the time, and I know how cool they are–I want everyone else to know too. And those of you that are keeping secrets—come on, play with us and let us know who you are.
And how about this—tell me why you read this blog? Is it because you have to because you are related to me? Like Barry, who can find out what I broke while he was gone. Or like Jenna, who cannot have her morning coffee at work without it, for some reason that suggests she needs more action in her life. Or are you reading because you want to know if I am making fun of you on the internet? I might be, did you do something stupid? Or is it because you want to see what finally does me in for the big one?
Also, what do you want to see going on around here? More horse stuff, more crazy clients, more pictures, and of what? Less of all that, are you just waiting to shut me up? What about me and this blog drives you batshit?
This is the kind of stuff I wonder about. So humor me, dang it–give a sister some new info to work with here.
I am looking forward to this!

Ok. I'll play. I'm new. But I read your blog because of Jenna, who can't go a day without reading it. When its really funny, she tells me. Then I read.
Three things: i'm a secretary, i'm nuts, and i'm a freak too.
I enjoy the crazy clients and crazy animals both. It cracks me up.
Crazy horse women lawyers gotta stick together!
Three things...only 3? I'm far more complicated than 3!!!!!
so here goes....
1. mom, my kids are incredibly important to me. I have 3 babies, all in their 20's now. One marvelous boy and 2 generous girls.
2. my animals. I love me some horses and some dogs. I take care of 3 horses....
1. Xenia, my daughters APHA solid paint bred mare
2. Paige, MY APHA solid paint bred mare
3. Mojo, AQHA red gelding bred by...ta da! the owner of this blog.
lets see....
and the third thing that might be a defining characteristic....that I'm curious about everything. I may not stick with a lot of thing for long, but I will examine and explore lots of different subjects.
why I read this blog...because Paige Strawn is my friend and she's been a *good* friend too. She has deep knowledge about horses and breeding and she's funnyfunnyfunny. Who could ask for anything more????
What do I want to see more of? Photos. Don't care of what, but I want photos....that's my most recent obbses.....errrrr.....passion!
I like the horse and piggy pictures. But you already know that.

Gave up horses for race karts
the old saying if ya can't beat-em join them. fits me at this time in my life.
Ok here goes. I'm Soxy Deb and the onwer of Postcards from the Edge. I am a mother of two grown boys - one of which is fast becoming the bain of my existence and one of which is getting married in March. I work as a bookkeeper, but am going back to school to become a Medical Transcriptionist. I like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain, oh that's not me at all. I hate the rain.
I come here cause you always have an interesting story to tell - whether it be funny, serious, disturbing or twilight zonish. You have pretty horses and I love the pics you post of them.
I may not always leave a comment when I'm here (sorry about that) but I love to visit!!
I love your blog because we have things in common. Livestock (except for the horses...do donkeys count?) and also because before we moved to Oregon I had my salon in the "legal center" of town. Many of my friends are paralegals and attorneys so I enjoy hearing you talk about your legal junk.
I think your cool and I enjoy the time spent stalking you.
Ok, so... We just found Bart a bride. Online. I think I have a problem with the internet when I go so far as to "cruise the personals" for dog dates.
She's a year old, pure bred border collie who Bart the wonder dog LOVES! Even though he had to go to the dogs parts doctor yesterday to be fixed. He has a seizure dissorder that we can't have pass on to any pups.
Do you think I have a problem?
Do I need therapy?
This makes five dogs.
Good thing we have a big house.
Remember, friends tell friends when friends go crazy.
1. I love Linux. My first real computer was a Apple II Plus. Next I went to a toaster-like Macintosh. I became an Apple computer fan and learn to look down on Windoiz users. Since then I've grown up and married Linux. I came to the conclusion that the same things I hated about Micro$oft, Apple Computer was doing. Just say "no" to proprietary $oftware. Linux is free.
2. I love to stay in bed until around 10:30 everyday.
3. Nothing turns me on like Salsa dancing. It must be my age, 64.
I will play also!
I found you through TrainWreck's blog and we are blogger buds. I don't have any horses these days, my dogs just died of natural caused :( ...but I love HORSES, Dogs, and wish I had all those listed above! I read a few months ago about your mischievous foal who was the escape artist....loved it, but glad I am not worried about taking care of that one! He would give me a heartattack! I live in Oklahoma and I am way OLDER than most of you bloggers, love animals, photography and art. I am always courious about the people who visit my blog and never comment. I have someone who follows me from Belguim almost daily, but never lets on..... :) I guess it would be fun for me to ask a few qustions myself! duhhh..
Three things?
1. Love my horses and talk to them like people, I swear they understand me.
2. Mom of three teens, I cannot talk to them, they are animals.
3. Getting back into running so I can get my bee-hind.. Behind me !instead of on the sides and down the back of my thighs.
THats about it!
3 things -
-mom to a spirited 4 yr old
-mom to lots of spirited animals - horses, cattle, dogs, and cats
-wife to crazy cowboy
...and i love to travel and being barefoot...
how's that?
oh, i love hearing about your animals and knowing that other folks days are as crazy as mine!
I don't blog myself but I love reading yours. I used to work with Amanda at Project CHILD and started reading her blog when she was waiting for Gabi. That is how I somehow found yours. I LOVE your sense of humor and the pictures of your animals. I also love animals and currently have 4 dogs and numerous barn cats. We also raise black angus cattle. My favorite hobby is napping and I am a champion. I am a voracious reader and especially love mystery novels. They are a total escape from reality for me. I still work with Project Child and found that you are good friends with Tranae.
Please continue blogging. Your ability to tell a story and find the humerous side of your life is a gift that I hope you will continue to share with us.
DON'T YOU DARE QUIT BLOGGING! What would I do while drinking my morning coffee? Horse, pig, dog stories, client and Hitler, exercising and the list of stories goes on and then THROW in those beautiful pictures. What could be a better way to start the morning.
My daughter Lorna and GD Bree "sigged" me on to you and so you can blame them for me being so "talkative" on your blog.
1. I am an ole lady retired with DH down in Tenn.-- Girleepup a border collie who appeared at the end of our driveway 12 years ago--- love my family and their life, traditions, sharing and always wanting to learn learn learn.
2. I like TO DO THINGS, yard work, (even) housework, quilting, stitching, knitting, you name it and I would probably try it. I guess I am hyperactive.
3. I like communications and people, hear stories, read books, and more. And always want to KNOW THE END OF THE STORY. Not always possible, but I look.
Enjoy, Carol

Paige, did you receive my comment?
And a message to Soxy Deb
Do you sell postcards?
Aren't other people's blogs wonderful? One learns so much>
Enjoy Carol
I have never blogged, but I do read yours because: first, I am one of your neighbors ( the one who Barry so kindly brought my horse Thor home after being hit two years ago, which I still miss him every single day)second, I still want to ride the deer hunters trails with you this Spring.third, I share your love for animals, even potbellied pigs who have hair extension problems (one of mine does too)lol fourth, I am as in-coordinated as you or more so lol.
Ok, I'll play too. I read your blog daily, rarely post. Don't have a blog of my own, but really enjoy your humor and all your stories. 'Specially the ones about the peeeeeg.
I no longer have horses, but used to have an appy gelding I loved beyond anything in existence and then an appy mare who was ... different. Both are gone now.
I have dogs. Always had dogs, but now I train and show them. Currently I have 3, Dittany the old lady who will be 15 next week; Joey, recently adopted (about 18 months) 10 yo who went blind about 2 months after arriving; and the only current show dog in the group, Amelia, also 10 yo who just got her first advanced rally leg. She's showing in agility as well as rally.
Reading is my major hobby, after the dogs. Sometimes before the dogs, even, but they don't allow that very often.
Keep on blogging! Please!
Liza Lundell
Hey Paige,
I found your blog through an internet forum we both peruse. I met you a couple years ago when you bought some old stocks we had (I hope they worked out!)
I am a 30 something mama that is still horse crazy with 9 horses, two dogs, two cats and a very beautiful seven year old who sadly has not been bitten by the horse obsession.
I am an obsessive reader to the point that I get so engrossed with a book I don't hear anything or anyone.
I have tried blogging but I am so boring that I don't think anyone would want to hear me.
I really enjoy your blog!
1-I am cousins with Paige. And think she is not only crazy and funny, but just plain awesome!
2-I too, am insane.
3-A mother, wife, and Babysitter at work. Just kidding, I am an Office Manager, so I do kinda babysit everyone around here, most days.
Hrm. Three things that define me?
1) Mama to a 7.5 month old boy. He has some serious red hair that is beautiful but often a pain in the butt to get going how I want it. Something in all of that reminds me of you.
2) Lawyer. I don't know if it is the parts of it that I love or the most of it that I hate that defines me more. I keep thinking that if I try enough different types of lawyering someday I will find one I am cut out for on a permanent basis. The lawyering I enjoyed most is the lawyering I learned from you.
3) Easily amused but in constant search of amusement.
I read your blog because I miss talking to you and all the funny things you say and do. You have done a lot for me in a lot of ways, and I appreciate that.
I do wish there were more pictures of you and Barry on here. And Simba. I miss that girl too.
I love your blog cause i miss you lots and you write like you talk (it's all so very funny, well except for the serious stuff of course)...I also need to keep up on you either making fun of me or yourself or BS or your mom or dad....the list goes on and on...
About me...
-no kids, no animals, but probably have a drinking problem ;)
-I live by the beach and love it
I don't remember how I got started reading your blog...but I keep reading because you are absolutely hilarious!!! And you have beautiful, well-bred horses!
i'm a mommy, a wife, and a musician.
i read b/c you've always been funny. you and your family are so very wonderful and my life is all the better for knowing you crazies.
give me more crazy clients.
