Joining in the Fun

I have read these things forever, but never really knew how it worked before so I never did it. But now, I have sucked it up and finally pulled the trigger--I have joined in on MamaKat's Blog prompts at http://mamakatslosinit.blogspot.com/

I have chosen the one where you ask loved one to give 6 descriptive words about me. Since there is only one loved one in this house, I asked Barry. For some reason he started laughing. That is a fine way to start a new tradition.

Anyway, this is what he said

1. Smart
2. Crazy
3. Funny
4. Outgoing
5. Caring
6. Judgmental

This was actually kind of funny, as I had to keep telling Barry to start over as no one would believe that he really thought that. And then he would put in qualifiers that made them even funnier--such as I am caring for my animals, and some of my friends, and part of my family, even if I do not always like my animals, my friends, or my family and would rather not be around all of them. And I do not know whether crazy is a good thing, I suspect it is not, but I did tell him that they did not have to be good things---which is when he came up with judgmental, and then really got on a roll. Good thing we were at the end of this list, or the whole thing might have taken a turn for the ugly.

So next, I asked Slater what 6 words he would use to describe me. Since he is a dog, he does not talk plain, but I know what he was thinking.

Here is what he said about me:

1. Good cook
2. Nice mommy who lets him sleep late. (so that violates Kat's rules on equating pets to children, but is my damn blog and I can do what I want)
3. I am hard on his self-esteem because I call him Fat-Boy all the time.
4. Adventurous--as I take him camping, and to the Mardi Gras parade
5. Talented napper
6. Smell good

Interesting that Slater's thoughts on me are more specific than Barry's and he has four legs and a tail. Story of my life.
