Hallelujuah! I am BACK!

Thank God almighty, I am back in business.

Dad took my computer to Best Buy yesterday to have it repaired. They convinced him he should buy another one for me to use until mine is repaired, then they will take it back.

So he did, and now I have a bright red Gateway in my hands. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. But I would think a rock with horse poop on it was beautiful if it would hook me up to the internet after these days with limited access.

Which this did not last nite. That is why there was no morning post from me. I did get a nice surprise though that Barry came home from Kentucky early, so he was at the house when I got out of spinning class last nite. He spent all nite--and I am not exaggerating--all nite on the phone with Verizon trying to get some help with downloading drivers for my internet thing a ma bob--he wanted to download it to my desktop (which is so slow, I cannot abide it), put the drivers on a memory stick and load them on here. Hours passed, and he was hung up on, they gave him the wrong download, and then we waited all nite for a return phone call from a supervisor who would know what to do---that call never came.

But bless him, he took it to work this morning and used their wireless service to download the drivers directly to this laptop and I am IN BUSINESS. I bought him lunch so he could hand it over to me, and almost first thing (after I finished some work stuff), I got right on here to tell you all how swell it is to be back.

Evidently not swell for everyone, as I have lost a follower. Why does that make me sad?

Anyway, I guess I will spend most of the weekend trying to find my regular places, without benefit of my bookmarks, trying to re-download all my other crap like my website software, photoshop stuff, etc. Exhausting project, but I am thrilled to be back on line!

I have been a good exerciser--I did not do two a day workouts every day, but I did step up the level of the one I did do on the days that I did only one. Monday I did the pool and the aerobics class--which almost killed me so I had to take to the bed. Tuesday was spinning class, which really hurt my tailbone and I could not do much of the stand up parts, but I tried really hard.
Wednesday was aerobics again, in which I did a better job than Monday. Thursday was spinning again, and I did ALL of the stand up parts! And my tailbone hurts again, but not as bad. This morning was the pool, which I kind of was not that into because it was below zero outside and I was trying hard not to get my hair wet. That kind of cuts down on the effort. And for a funny, my swimmer and towel and water shoes were frozen solid in a ball, which made them not very pleasant to put on. I also did some weights two of those days. I need to get back to that.

I will probably work out a little this weekend- but the only class is an ab class at 9 am and you know I am not about to do that. It is supposed to be 40 degrees, so maybe I will get on a hoss and work out my abs for real. Or not. I am amazed that I am willing to workout in a class in front of people but finding the social pressure of not embarrassing myself makes me want to stick it out when I would otherwise quit. Who would have thunk?

In an hour, I am kicking off the weekend at Happy Hour with Mike--woo hoo!

Everyone have a good weekend, and God willing, I will get the camera software on here and be able to get back to normal.

I have missed you!

well thank goodness, we missed you too. I would have withdrawal if I had no internet access. It is a sickness with me. And I have failed in my 2X a week riding this week due to the incredibly frigid temps. If it is too cold for the hosses to be out, it is too cold to ride too!

i am far, far, far beyond proud of you. Excellent! And I do know the sadness (READ: depression) that goes without having internet for even one second. Even if you don't have access to a computer, it messes with you. I can still one-up you though. Try dealing with Deutsche Telekom in German. I win!

Woohoo Exerciser!

You are so lucky. My husband bought me a new laptop from Best Buy for my BDay...it died a month later. EIGHT WEEKS after that, I had it back. They would not give me a replacement, would not fix it, we had to send it to the manufacturer. Not fun.

I'm glad your back though! Connectivity issues are the worst!!

Hey so do you get to keep the new shiny red computer?
I would want to.
How do you know you lost someone?
I am SO envious of you working out... I just can't bring myself to do it so I just sit and eat Ding Dongs while I read your posts :(
