I am superstitious beyond belief. I know it, I try not to be--and I am not sure superstition is the most accurate way to describe what I am. Maybe I just believe in God testing us sometimes, and then giving us a big sign that we did good.
I know I believe that if you are a good person and try to do right, that good things will happen to you. That does not mean bad things won't happen, but there will be some good stuff in there too.
Conversely, if you are not a nice person and focus your life on doing bad things to people, and seeing the bad in everyone instead of trying to live a life that is beneficial to people, bringing misery to people around you and generally being a piece of crap--one day it will come home to roost.
What is amazing to me is how the universe can align itself so that ONE act can be the karmic answer to so many different people....good to some, bad to others...just one big answer.
Yesterday was one of those days. We finally got the word about who will be the new boss in my office. While there were many good choices- in fact all of them were-the job was given to my friend, who knows me as well as anyone does and understands me. The job will make a huge difference in her life, and ultimately in mine. She will do a wonderful job in this position, and the focus will get back to representing clients and not superflous crap.
Life is so good.

Ha! That is awesome Paige! I am really happy about that for you. I know how miserable it can be to work for someone like the other one.
Yay for a good boss. Ironically, by the sounds of it this morning, I will also be getting a new boss, although it'll be hard to find a better boss than my current one. :(

What's sad is that it took me until the other day to figure out who Little Hitler is. Even though it should have been clear. I hadn't thought about most of those people in a long time.
