Well I am in the town, and although it took me nearly six freaking hours and there were some mishaps on the way, all is well now.
Why you ask? considering that the "gym" they claim to have is a treadmill and nothing more---so no working out for me---this is some pretty good news--
I went to the Wal Mart to get socks, and what did they have there (besides beer and wine which always is good to see in a WalMart that will not sell music with bad words in it).
they had REDUCED FAT RUFFLES!
I now have a whole trunk full of them. I have no idea where they will live at my house, but I am so glad to have found them!
I like surprises like this

You crack me up!!! I am glad to see that things are looking better for you. :)
BTW...my husband's physical therapist is from O'Fallon. Talk about a small world...lol!!!
Uhm... if you went to Wal-Mart regularly, like I do, you would have known about reduced fat ruffles a long time ago.
The reduced fat ones are good and you don't know you're missing anything til you have a regular one. They make the regular ones seem REALLY greasy and REALLY amazing.
oh hell Lori, I am ADDICTED to these things. But they went the way of the sour pickle in my neck of the woods and have been unavailable to me for many many months. It is a travesty
BUT here they are. Are you telling me that you have unfettered access to the Reduced Fat ruffles? Where were you when I was offering cash money to the provider of these things?
Mmmmm.... I love reduced fat chips. They are light and flakey and I think they taste so much tastier than regular.
YOU TOO? WTF? Why does everyone have access to these wonderful things but me?
If you knew what I had been through over these chips, you would be sad for me--do you have any idea how hard it is for a chic with an eating disorder and OCD food issues to lose access to one of the few things she eats?
I cannot believe you BOTH have been holding out on me
How weird Melanie--who knew the great state of southern Illinois had so many tentacles!
It's good to know that you arrived safely. I'm anxious to hear how your day goes tomorrow.
Love you,
Mom
okay, I have to tell you the chips will taste like cardboard.
You blasphemer you! They are delicious, so much that I cannot eat regular ones anymore. And the baked Ruffles or baked Lays make my jaw hurt.
These are awesome. So awesome that I have foregone my traditional in-a-hotel-by-myself pizza delivery.
And even funnier, when Barry called from his hotel I told him to just GUESS what I found at the WalMart here and he got it in one guess!
YAY!! for RF Ruffles! You have been hunting those puppies for a while!
WOOT! Good for you for finding the Ruffles!
now you know you only have to travel 300 miles to find them again!
and Friday is only 2 days away!!!!!
Mmm... reduced fat ruffles sound really good right about now. You should stock up on them! You can never have too many ruffles. Never.
Unless it's a wedding dress.
Your "Northern" Ill pals will have to send down care packages filled with FRAGILE RUFFLES.
When we check out at Wallyworld, my husband THREATENS the check out girl NOT TO CRUSH his chips with her style of "bagging"
And I DO MEAN threaten.
Chips are chips---not crumbs.
Enjoy Carol
Too funny! Are they any good?
You know, it's the simple things in life that make us happy. :D
I always love the baked chips. I don't think I've tried the reduced fat Ruffles, but maybe I should!
Thanks for checking out my blog!! I love new blog friends!! I will add you to my blog list and become your newest stalker!! BLOG STALKERS UNITE!!
Oh yeah--I forgot to say Reduced Fat Ruffles--YUMMO!!
Oh yeah again--I am now a follower and you have a GREAT blog!!
Oh girl...reduced fat ruffles...that is an amazing find!!!!!!
I actually LIKE reduced fat Ruffles! In fact, I am so used to them now, when I eat regular ones they TASTE fat!
Hugs!
Well let us know when you run out! I must have missed the original plea.
Paige, I'm heading up to northern IL on Saturday. Want me to find you another trunk load of them thar chips? Heck, I'm dragging the trailer up and can fill that up if you want. I plan to drive back down on Dec 1st. Since I make regular runs to the extreme northern part of the state I can volunteer my potato chip wrangling services. Just holler.
