Six degrees

to Kevin Bacon, isn't that it? I suck at this

In any event, tonight we talked about going to the movies, but the only thing on was "Disaster Movie". The only redeeming feature is that Crista Flanagan is in it.

However, we were distracted by happy hour gone wild, which oddly, was attended by Crista's dad, Dave. He does the karaoke at the Elks, which is the best place in town for happy hour, etc. If that does not prove how small this town is, I do not know what is---and it is not like it is the only place in town, as we also have a Moose, a some other animal lodge and regular restaurants and bars. The Elks has the best food in town, but none of it holds a candle to good hot dogs post-football game, which is the absolute best food you can eat after you have been at happy hour for four hours. Or more. Whatever. Don't judge me.

I went to high school with Crista, she is a couple of years younger than me---she and Mandy were on the student council together. She is funnier than hell and is a regular on Mad TV as well as silly movies. She cracks me right up.

In any event, this is the story O Crista according to Wikip0edia (which is why there are links, try to ignore that, I do not have it in me to retype all this crap

Flanagan was born in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She received a BS in Theatre from the University of Evansville. Flanagan received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Irvine, where she sharpened her theatrical skills in plays including Fool for Love, The Time of our Life, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Marriage of Figaro and Oklahoma!. Her extensive background in theater led to the development of Flanagan's one-person show titled But wait…I have Impressions!. Flanagan's notable guest appearances on television include Mad Men, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Practice, ER, and a recurring role on You've Got a Friend. She partnered up with the team behind Ask A Ninja to create a video podcast called Hope is Emo. Flanagan currently lives in Los Angeles. Flanagan played the role of Hermione Granger in the 2007 film, Epic Movie.

MADtv

Flanagan officially joined the cast of MADtv in 2005 as a feature performer, for the tenth season, then became a repertory cast member at the beginning of the following season. Her frequent impersonations were of Alex Hooser, Ellen Pompeo, Heidi Klum, Patricia Arquette, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks, Hayden Panettiere and Hannah Montanna.

In one of her "Jazzed for Crafts" sketches, as Epic Movie is playing on the TV, her character Denise says "I love Epic Movie, I especially like that girl who plays Hermione", she is talking about herself, since Crista played Hermione in Epic Movie.

The majority of her characters usually end up crying, bleeding, and physically/emotionally abused.

Crista is one of the shortest castmembers standing at just 5' 2". Alex Borstein was the shortest at 5'.

As of June 2008, Flanagan is a regular cast member entering her 5th season into Season 14.
