Scenes from the Futurity

This year, I was too busy to take photos of things I normally would, so there are not many to share. That is probably good considering the quality of most of them.

The top shot is Peptoboonsmal--he really wanted to be friends, and by the time my flash would go off, he would be right in my face. So this is the best of the lot--see what I mean about the quality?

On the right is one of my favorites of the last few years, Mecom Blue. I REALLY want one of these, as if I need more Haida breeding, but I don't have to make sense.

This is Bet on Me 498, on the left. I think the quality of my pics was going down even at this point, and it probably was not even 9 am.

On the right is Smooth as a Cat--holding him is my friend Robin from the Manion Ranch, where he stands. He is really pretty in real life, but there are too many of them out there for me to get into him right now. He sired the high seller of the 2 year old in training sale at $225K.

This is Playgun--I still think he is an overlooked sire.

This last one is CD Lights---you know how hard it is getting to find a non-roan horse down there? Way harder than it used to be, that is for sure. It does not make a difference in price like it does in the rest of the world, but with so many top sires being roan, it is spreading quickly.

I think that is it for pictures where you can actually recognize who they are, instead of just seeing their butts as they walked away.
