As usual, this holiday weekend was jam packed. The weather screwed up our Friday ride, so everything got shifted around. I have a lot to tell, but not enough energy to tell it. I have a few photos to share though.
One interesting development is that we grew some pets--LeaAnn called Friday to warn us there was a mad skunk in the water trough in Grandpa's field. I figured that would be one damned cold skunk by the time we got home, and probably have drowned. It never occurred to me that he would be in the old trough we use to feed hay. That is where he was though, with what might be his wife, who we believed was in labor.
Fortunately, we were wrong about that too! They were actually kind of cute, and pretty friendly, but would spray occasionally. Saturday, we called Hutch to dispatch them, but then they disappeared on their own. My luck, they are foaling somewere else on the property.
Also on Saturday, Bocephus got to have a holiday romp in the yard with no supervision--his first ever. I actually forgot he was out there for a while. He discovered some of the decorative gourds and you would have thought he was in hog heaven. How funny I am. Hog heaven. See how big my pig is getting in the picture of Barry holding him? Big pig. God only knows what he weighs, not even counting the pounds of straw he carries around with him in his coat now--when you try to brush it off, more comes to the surface.
Even Tequila is starting to be trustworthy to Bocephus...see how hard she was trying not to get him? She cracks me up. Speaking of which, I wanted to show off how good she is looking--her swinging boobies have drawn up, and she weighs 95 pounds which is perfect for her petite frame. Her spay stitches have evaporated right
on schedule, and she is perfectly comfrotable sine struggling with the anasthesia. Now to get her heartworms, and some other freak tick borne disease gone, and we will have a swell dog. That and to get her to quit hogging the bed--she is the smallest, but insists on taking the most room!

Tequila looks really good. She's beautiful now. I can't believe you can't find a home for her. Bocephus is huge. He's big enough to take care of himself, I think.
Congratulations on selling Hem. I hope you got a good price. Your dad told me about him, and I hate for him to anything before I do.
I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. I miss you.
Mom
You realize you are bossing me again, don't you? I know a lot of people way bigger than Bocephus that cannot take care of themselves yet too.
It does not matter what I got for Hemi, we lost the money. It jsut flat disappeared
I love all your critters.
