An evening with Grisham and Turow

Tomorrow I am going to Chicago to do to a dinner honoring Ted, the head dude of this agency. Part of the festivities is dinner with Scott Turow and John Grisham.

It is part of a fundraiser for the Center for Wrongful Convictions and Northwestern University which is an incredible program that has impacted so many lives. I had one of the few epiphanies of my life there, before the Center was founded but as part of its inception

I was not going to go, as it is surely a bad time for me to be gone, but today I got jealous that Rita was going and I could not stand it, so I booked myself right it.

I will be gone from early morning until late Thursday nite.

Now to find some big girl clothes that are not wrinkled, dirty or too little.

Well you have fun, I'm sure you'll find something to wear. Even if you have to Iron it... The world won't come to an end if you do have to, I swear! ; ) Have a good time and enjoy yourself.

Sounds like fun! Where are you having dinner? My husband's favorite restaurant is in Wheeling, IL just outside of Chicago. Bob Chinns Crab House. It is to die for and I'm not a seafood buff. I go for the steak! YUMMY! We'll have to fly up sometime soon or else withdrawal will set in. LOL! Ever been?

You did the right thing. You would have regretted missing it. Besides, I'm sure Rita needed you with her.
I'm so proud of you for so many reasons. I thank God for you every day.
Love you too much,
Mom
