Speaking of babies

Gracious, who would think that it is time to worry about 2008 foals? But it is almost time to start the rhino shots. Yuck yuck yuck, one more thing to put on the list!
I realize this is not such a flattering angle for a photograph, but it shows Aries's tummy so well. She is just getting as cute as she can be. She is the second one I have noticed that looks better knocked up than not. I am preally pleased with her development.

Dang, I love that mare. How far along is she now? Must be the hormones.

Got to be about 4 months or so--no more, I am sure. I think I bred her the same round as Gypsy and that was May 15. I would have to find my book, and you know how that is!

She has really grown on me!

She is a nice looking mare. And love the baby belly already.

is this her first?

It is her first. She is 5.

I really like her too--she has turned very sweet without being pushy about it. The three things I do not like about her is her tail set is too high, which is no big deal, just sort of ruins the picture for me.

Second is that her head is plain, which is highlighted by the fact that she has virtually no forelock--what is that about?

And third, that I am too much of a fat ass to ride her without her going a little bit off on that leg with the bone chip--but I bet either of you could ride her no problem since you are so much lighter. She is BROKE to death, and really works off her butt. But if she had not gotten kicked, I never could have gotten my hands on her.
