It has not really started yet, for real. But yesterday, we had our first tying lesson on baby Coco Lu Magoo, the Sly filly that is here for weaning. It was a little uneventful for my taste--she did not even do the requisite fling herself on the floor thing that they all seem to try once.
Ignore her pinning her ears, it was not attitude, s
he was just listening to us chatter. And yes I did move that hunk of baling twine, right after I took the pic. We use an inner tube to tie babies at first, so they do not hurt themselves and it works pretty well for us.
This is just such a pretty filly, she is so feminine. I must have been tipping over when I took this photo to the right- but look at that butt on her.
She did enjoy her time in the round pen, and kicked up quite the dust cloud playing.

I just love this picture of her in silhouette in the back barn.

I like the picture of her in the round pen, nice head carriage. She is really a pretty girl.
She's cute Paige, she looks more refined then most of the Sly babies. Thinner neck and body. I still like my chunky monkey the best though, course maybe I'm a bit biased.
She sure is a cutey. And I agree with Leigh...she is more refined than most I have seen.
She does have a long thin neck---and a precious tiny head that somehow does not come through in these pics.
She is a chunk though- just rippling with muscles all over.
She has such a cool mama, who is bred back to Sly next year as well.
Coco Lu may be for sale, I am not sure
