Look at this poor fool.

you just cannot make this stuff up, can you?
Hemi had her first leading lesson tonight, which went remarkably well. I needed to do her registration pics, so mostly the leading was just to get her where I wanted her. She seems to get it though, and with the exception of a few baby stunts she pulled, it went perfectly.
There were a few classic moments though, such as this pic showing how she tied herself up in a ball and fell over. I think what actually happened was she did a little happy dance and got the lead rope behind her front legs, then backed up to get away from it--thus knocking herself over. I am not really sure, since it happened fairly quickly, and I was already laughing when I saw where it was headed.
She is actually the second horse I have ever had do this--cracked me up then too. Both times, the horse quickly figured out that they got themselves into this, and would have to ge
t themselves out. What other choice did she have when all the people were laughing at her?Whatever reason she had for doing it, she was pretty quick to realize that the safest place was next to BS instead of hopping up and down to get away from him. It was almost like she was embarrassed and needed to be hugged.
Isnt she a cutie? She does look kind of recalcitrant, doesn't she?
