I think Barry has it down---deliver them 1000 pounds of hay or so! If I was not so disgusted that we have been feeding hay year round due to 
the drought (and normally don't have to feed the back pasture until January or so), I would be more amused at this. It is still cute, all the butts lined up in a row like he is the Pope of Hay. The second pic is just a pile of mares hanging out where they always do--in a pile of hay. I cannot believe how big the babies are getting and it is almost time to wean. Yuck

Holy crap, that horse 2nd from the left in the picture has the biggest quarter horse booty I have ever seen! Barry is very a handsome Pope of Hay :-)
I know how it feels to have to be feeding hay year round. It sucks because your feed bill is going to be so high and not to mention it will get tougher to find quality hay at a reasonable/affordable price as fall & winter come. I am prayintg for more rain for you and me. We are really dry, no rain in 3 weeks and temps over 100 degrees everyday. And they see no end in sight right now.
I think that is Haida Girl--may be cash. You know we like those girls with the big butts around here!
Same here Melissa--makes me sick. This heat wave and drougth is vicious.
Affordable is no longer even in the equation--AVAILABLE is the only question now. I should have the first semi coming in soon, and the new tractor will be very handy for that, as it has been difficult for our smaller tractor to handle round bales much over 1000 pounds. That will no longer be an issue, thank goodness
