This is the devil baby Coco, sired by Sly and out of a great Magnolia Bar mare. Her name is going to be Ms Haida Magnolia. She is no longer the Satan child of the 2007 foal crop, like she was when she came with mama to be bred back to Sly. I called her Coco Lu Magoo when she was here, as well as a number of other four letter words, usually at top volume because she would NOT follow her mother from stall to turnout and I would have to spend a ridiculous amount of time chasing her around to get her where I wanted her. I wanted to beat her to death a lot, but she was so cute, she got away with it.
Her owners brought her down from Decatur so she could be weaned with some friends and she is doing really well. First thing off the bat, Phoenix bit her in the butt, so she kicked her in the jaw. Then they ignored each other for a day, and now they are big buddies. And Coco has turned SWEET! I cannot believe it is the same child, but she is just precious and so much fun. We are really enjoying her. She will be here for a couple of weeks, I imagine.
In other weaning news, Miss Hemi had her first leading lesson today. She spent a lot of the lesson pretending she has been doing this her whole life. She is really impressing me--she has not been haltered prior to Saturday but had no issues with it, and will run right to her stall door to get some loving already. She really likes Barry. Hemi is sharing her weaning experience with Hammer who thus far, thinks we all suck and wants nothing to do with us. Hopefully he will get jealous of all the loving she is getting, while we continue to ignore him. That usually does the trick on one like him.

What a nice filly.
Oh boy, and the F U N begins! LOL
She is such a nice girl. Longer than most of my babies, since her mama is, but it looks really nice on her.
She is so elegant, but beefed up pretty too.
man do I like that filly. My kinda gal, beautiful elegant neck, big hip and pleasant expression.
