I need a reminder of just how swell Hawkeye was before he tore himself up in this mysterious way. This was just a couple of months ago, just before he turned two---hopefully he will recover well enough to be back to his gorgeous self. It is so hard to believe this is even the same horse.

I might possibly be mourning for all that grass as much as I am this injury!
