Off I go in a few minutes to Oklahoma City to see my friend Bree compete at the Appy Youth World Show--she took 8th in her first event today, and has two more tomorrow and one Wednesday morning. YAY BREE! I will be back late Wednesday nite.
It is fun to go to a show with a completely different crowd than usual, with horses I am not used to, so I am looking forward to it. We had a great time last year, where she was Top 5 in one event and I think had two other Top Tens. Whatever happens this year, I hope she has fun and feels like she did her best--that is what it is supposed to be about.
I wish I could stay til Friday and See Lorna show in the penning, but I have to come home and get back to work. Yuck.
When she is not showing, we get to do regular on vacation things, like play in the pool and shop and eat. I cannot wait to get there and hang out with them and the Big Nasty (Bree's dad), and if I don't head to the airport ASAP, I will miss my plane anyway.

Have Fun Paige! And Don't behave! ha!
Ha! She behaved TOO well, I have been wondering if this is "alien" Paige - she only drank TWO, yes, you all read that correctly TWO beers while here - I'm still scratching my head on that one! We are SO SO happy she came and we were definitely sad (although she doesn't believe us and questions why) that she had to leave SO quickly! Bree would spend as much time with her as she would ever allow!
We were chatting while hanging out by the pool as to what a GREAT, WONDERFUL friend she is and how we wish there were many more like her!
TWO, are you sure she wasn't carrying her BIG purse? LOL I know that bag holds a 12 pack.
Paige is a great person like you all said, we all just loved her and had a blast with her last December.
I will have you know, Missy, that I took a proper purse (not even hideous, and had no crystals), in which not a single beer would fit.
I think I must be ill.
On the purse note, though, I bought two really hideous purses that we can put to good use in December!
What a proper purse where you trying to be on your best behavior or something? I can't wait to see your new purses in December!
I don't know what is the matter with me, but I think the beer drinking may be related to the purse deal. I got this cute purse from my mother in law for my bday and changed into it right before Belize--and all of a sudden, my thirst for a cold beer went away.
It is frightening, I tell you!
I am going to change into a new one, and see what happens!
