Hallelujah--there is now only one baby in Foxy! I was not that worried about her but the vet seemed to be, so off we went again this morning to confirm that all was well. She is about day 37 with baby 1, and no sign of baby 2 anywhere, so he can relax now.
Miss Sally, a customer's mare who I really like having around, is also toting a cute little wiggle of about 18 days.
Squeak, who should have been a breeder tonight, is only showing a 22 follicle, so we have to re-check her Monday morning. I am crossing my fingers that all goes well with her because breeding her is a 2 man operation and I leave for girl weekend with AmyB a week from today. In fact- in exactly one week to the minute, I will be en route to BELIZE!
As much as I love my horses and I do, I am so looking forward to 4-5 days without them! And even better is knowing that since Barry is here, I do not have to worry that something has gone berserk, or the fence is down, or someone is hurt like I do when other people watch them for me. I will be able to really relax and I am way overdue for that!

why is breeding Squeak a two man job?
Sly knows when she is in heat obviously, and I do too since I pinpoint her to the day with ultrasounds, but SHE does not always agree that she is in heat.
She has to be convinced.
