I just saw a clip of her at a press conference, waxing poetic about her grandfather who fought in the battle of the Bulge to protect her constitutional rights.
But when she exercised her right to speak, she was punished and (cue the tears, and trembly lip) "That should not happen in America". Boo hoo.
Oh for God's sake. She was allowed to speak. Her rights were not infringed upon. The government did not hustle her off the stage and muzzle her--although it probably would have been better for her in the end, had she. The Constitution does not say that we can say any ol jackass thing we want and not be called a jackass for it.
Sure, you can talk. And you can pay for it by having people know that you are a tool.
Get it, Miss California? Class is adjourned.
P.S. Miss California--friendly advice here ( not the government talking, just friendly advice from a general member of the public)--you might do well to stop holding press conferences. Every time you have one, you look stupider. Surely you will hit bottom soon, and no one wants to see that. No more than we wanted to see your boobs while you yammered on about Christianity and morality. Did not want to see that either. I think we have had enough.

Miss California is such a tool

Miss California has turned my stomach the whole time she spouted on about marriage and man/woman vs same sex marriages. Why does she give a shit what others do if it does not impact her rights? Is marriage and the social/financial/economic/comfort benefits associated with it something that should not be shared by all? And is while (as you said) 1/2 nekkid on national TV.
Bah.....
Oh Paige LOL!! I haven't personally seen any of the things concerning her but I have heard about it.. You are certainly a lady that's right up my alley LOL!!! You speak your mind and I am so a mind speaker LOL!! Although I can get myself into some sticky situations from that :~)
Shit! I missed it! How'd her boobs look?
heh
Hale-friggin-lujah!
I have such mixed feeling over this debacle and I'm going to admit up front that I haven't watched a beauty pageant since I was in junior high nor have I followed closely what has transpired since this contestant answered a question posed by a judge who makes his living drawing penis' with dripping jiz and cocaine flowing out of the nostrils on pictures of celebrities on his blog (can you tell I don't like Perez but admit I read his blog?). I am also not a religions person. I believe in God but don't belong to or go to church. Here are my thoughts on what little I do know.
This gal answered a question that I think wasn't posed to any other contestant. She was raised to believe that marriage should be between and man and a woman. I have to give her credit for not changing her answer to hide that fact. Maybe as she lives a little longer than her 22 years and expands her knowledge of life and the world outside her circle she might change her view points. I don't think it really matters. She is entitled to her opinion.
Now she is being accused of lying about the pictures showing her breasts. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. She got a boob job for the Miss USA pageant paid for by the Miss California pageant. I think we would be hard pressed to find a contestant who didn't have help via scalpel.
Who amongst us is perfect? Who has never told a fib? Who has never done anything we were ashamed of? I assume she is basing her opinion on marriage on religious faith and upbringing only to have that faith used to bash her for her other supposed actions/flaws (lies). I just find it sad that when someone has a differing opinion that the witch hunt begins to find their flaws and transgressions.
It has taken me too long to type up this comment. It's difficult to put what I'm thinking into words. I'll end by saying that would you expect any more or less from a 22 year old young lady who has spent her short life entering beauty contests? Seriously.
The only winner in this entire mess is Donald Trump. What a boatload of free publicity he and his pageant are getting. He certainly knew what he was doing when he picked the judges this year.
LOL Well said!
AMEN!
