Xan is waxing tonight---I guess she also is tired of waiting for Mel to give it up, so she decided to shake things up around here and pass her in the race to foal. These tiny beads of milk here on her nipples mean she is pretty dang close--not in every mare, but in her that is what it means. I hesitate to say it, since it seems to jinx things, but if she follows her pattern, we will have a foal by morning.
She does not look 100% ready to me, but the wax is more reliable on her than what she looks like. Barry said he heard her breathing heavy as well.
Cross your fingers--I want a baby to play with. I would just as soon she did not pick a nite that is 24 degrees, but baby will be fine.
