I do not know what does.
Finally, I had time to sit down and do some bill paying tonight. Doing everything online is the best thing that has ever happened to me--I can do it when I think of it and not miss deadlines that way.
I logged into one my citibank account, all excited about how much I had paid off recently to see how close to paid off it was--and it was over $2800. I knew that I was not within spitting distance of paying it off, but I could see it from where I was.
Or so I thought. The minimum payment was higher than I thought was reasonable as well, so I thought to check to see if it accounted for the huge interest that accrued before I paid the big amount on it last month.
Good thing I did, as I see NINE charges for Tim Horton Timcards. All the charges were on March 22 and March 23. There was also a charge for foreign transactions, which as a policy I think is INSANE.
So I called Citibank to tell them someone is up to no good on my card, and they were great, other than keeping me on the phone forever. There were still pending charges from last week on there too- evidently my little thief likes donuts and pizza from PizzaPizza.
So be on the lookout for some fat man with a bag full of Timbits--or rather a car full for what he spent, and pizza stains on his shirt. I realize this sounds like me, other than the man part, but I have not been to TimHortons since July and I sure did not run up charges like this two days in a row to the tune of several hundred dollars.
And you people think I exaggerate when I tell you that if I am surrounded by drama, trauma and BS.

but you are so calm about it! I'd be hysterical and tied in knots.
whew, you is sounding more and more like yerself again woman! I am excessively glad for that.
Ooh, that SUCKS. I take care of my dad's bills online and I am always freaked out about someone stealing credit card numbers and such. Was your card stolen for real or online?
Whoa! That is truly bizarre. I'm glad it's all straightened out. Could it be Mr. Conficker?
Geez Louise! You need break from "character building" episodes.
Just for your calmness check your email for a delightful "movie" of a pal of Boce's.
Laugh heartily--enjoy Carol
Thank goodness you looked! Aren't the credit card companies supposed to see anything suspicious like that and call YOU?
Yikes! Having credit card info stolen freaks me out. What is a Tim Hortons though?
Your the 2nd person today I've read about having their card numbers swiped. I'm going to check my account now! Glad you got it all straightened out.
So clearly your little thief loves himself some coffee cards, snacks and pizza.
At least it's not PORN, motels, flower shop and Victoria's Secret.
Then I would LOSE MY MIND.
NOWAY!!!!
How did they do that?
That makes me SO mad >{
When your broke, like me, this is one of the things you never have to worry about. Hell, I wish someone would steal my identity cause then I could get to be someone else as well.
Glad Citi is getting it all straightened out for you without too much aggravation.
holy shit! Someone needed some coffee DAMN BAD.
thank Goodness they took care of that for you!!
Tim Hortons is like a monster Dunkin Donuts--huge variety, lunches too, coffee--they are on every corner in Canada it seems like. Pretty good stuff really.
The only thing wrong with getting my identity stolen is that they did not give me another one to work with.
So now what , I ask you?
