Peter and Nichole are just a hair younger than we were when we got married--Peter just graduated from college and Nichole graduates in May. It seems so young to me now, although it did not at the time, of course.
Nichole always was a cute girl, but she has grown into a gorgeous woman. She is 5'11" and her wedding dress was a size 4 for Pete's sake. Her bridesmaids were even tinier. I think surely she must have rented them--where else can you find that many skinny chics?
Nichole is a class act. She is gracious and confident, very involved in her church, and can hold a conversation with anyone. Peter is a lucky man, and I know that he knows it.
This was a normal person's wedding--low key and not over the top. They made all the bouquets themselves, and chose calla lilies, which I love. The reception was in the church fellowship hall, with great food, much of it cooked by Nichole's family.
This pic was taken just as Nichole was getting ready to go up the steps to enter the sanctuary. She was very calm, as she had been all day.
The cake had snowflake imprints on it-- I have never seen anything like that before, and it was really pretty. I kept sneaking down to the fellowship hall to watch the decorating proceed, but it was hard to get a shot that showed the detail well.
It was fun to take pics of Nichole getting ready--she was so cute, with almost no nerves at all. She kept apologizing for not entertaining me, but I was trying to blend into the background so that I could get the kind of candid shots of the process that I knew she wanted.
Look at those beautiful curls--not natural by any means. When I arrived, there were two curling irons going at once--Nichole's friend did her hair for her. Her hair is one of her best features-it is a beautiful pale red. How she found a suitable man with matching hair, I will never know, but she did. I guess we know what their children will look like if they have them.
Isn't she a pretty girl?
This photo showed the last moments with her friends as a single woman. I think she will like this one.
Right now, Peter and Nichole are at Disney World for their honeymoon. I know they will have a wonderful time, and when they return they will be ready to take on the world as a married couple. They have everything it makes to succeed, and I know they will.
Congratulations, Peter and Nichole!
