Almost got away with it

I have been home for almost 3 hours--ain't that something? Home by 7 pm on a weeknight! Until just now, I thought I was going to get away with it and get to sleep by myself-but the dogs finally realized I was here and demanded to come in. It is cold and rainy and gross and they will mess up the bed--but too late, they caught me.

In case you think I am the devil, you should see the Taj Mahal of dog houses they have--it is nicer than my house for Pete's sake, and sometimes a girl just needs a nite off. It is not to be today though I guess.

You would think I earned it--I did day 3 IN A ROW at the gym. Can you believe that insanity?

However, my plan to go to water aerobics failed. Work got in the way. When I was getting ready this morning--for which I actually set my alarm, something I do not normally do, I could not find the fat girls swimming suit. I was sure it was in a suitcase somewhere as I never really unpack. But it was not. So I had to find something else to wear and it was a comedy to try on stuff. I ended up with the big idea that I could wear my regular two piece with a skirt and tank top over it, so I put on the bottoms and dressed over that. I realize now how stupid that sounds, but it made sense early this morning.

Off I went to work for a few hours before going to class at 10:30. Wearing my swimming suit. Then I got caught up in a meeting and guess what happened? I missed the class. That does not surprise anyone does it?

However, how ridiculous was it that I spent all day in my swimmer in the middle of December, while I thought real hard and flat wore out the search button on Westlaw to write this monster brief I am working on.

Even more ridiculous--I found the fat girls swimming suit. In my car. Not in a bag. Not packed. Just laying around in the backseat under piles of mail. How many people can say, I ask you? Not many, at least not in this state in the middle of winter.

Since that was a big fail, I had to go to the gym after work again--I am so proud of me. I had no socks though, so I had to go to my moms house to get some--it is by the gym and kept me from coming home to get some which would have resulted in me not going to the gym at all. I even added a new machine to my repertoire, which will probably make me sorry tomorrow.

Tonight I am proud of me though. I shall celebrate by going to bed at a reasonable hour. I have already watched Top Chef so what else is there to do?

I suppose I could pack so I can go to aerobics tomorrow, but that would be hard--since the swimmer is still in the car. I am not taking a chance on getting stuck wearing a swimming suit all dang day tomorrow. That is just stupid

Good for you on the exercise thingy!!! I just started back after about two months off, and it's kind of depressing because I lost a lot of ground...aerobically.

Don't you wish that you could just be a size 10 (or whatever size you are trying to attain!)without having to try so damn hard??? I do! :)

Hope that you are not up working on the monster brief! I am supposed to be finishing a paper, but I cannot focus anymore....grrrrr....

You did better than I did. The only exercise I did was walking from classroom to classroom at school. Because I had to.

You know the parallel-ness in our lives? It continues.

For some reason, I've been a work-out fool this past week. I've even been getting up EARLY (something I NEVER do) to work out before I get ready for work. I'm even getting to work an hour earlier than I usually do!

That means I get up at 5:15am, leave the house by 6:00am and get to work by 7:00am.

I don't know why I'm so motivated.... maybe it's b/c you're motivated.

And picturing someone wearing their swimming 'outfit' all day is pretty funny. Especially if that person is an attorney. hee hee.
