Work in miniature

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of Fonzie having his rear foot rasped. The shavings are flying, the black background-everything about it. It is so sad that I did not try to take this pic--and you know had I tried, it would not be so awesome.

Fonzie is such a good little pony. Or mini. Or hairy yak. I am not really sure what he is, to tell you the truth. Other than being hard to catch, he is dang near perfect.
To catch him, you have to trap him in the barn and slam the door on him. Then he knows he is had. Ask me how many times he got out before I got him trapped for real tonight. THREE. And he is a fast little bugger. If there were some 18 inch cattle that needed cutting, this would be your man right here--he is an agile little beast.
Obviously, after some cussing and huffing and puffing, and then some more cussing, I caught him. That was that.
Don't his ears look like a teddy bear?
And his whole snoot fits in your hand.
His mane is so thick it almost hides his ears.

He is so funny, it just cracks me up. Gabi is having her photos made with him over Thanksgiving, and I cannot wait. Could anything be cuter?

that rasping photo is poster quality.

Good job Strawn, very good. Really very good.

I also very very much like the close up of the Fonzies Face where you can see his eyes. That is a good detail shot.

the one of the knife on his foot is also good.

The best though....is the rasp.

I agree with Holly. Those are great pics but the rasping one had me looking at it two or three times to catch all the details.

FANTASTIC

Ooh, that rasping photo is awesome! It's something I've seen too many times to count in real life, but to see the motion stopped like that makes it seem so interesting and almost bizarre.

Ohhhhhhh, the cuteness!! The farm where my kiddo went to summer camp these past two years has a few minis and she adored them. She also adored the pygmy goats and piglets. Basically, she adored anything that was in a smaller-than-regular size. Wonder if that's because she's 5... :D

I too love the rasping shot - very cool. Well done, intentionally or not!

I echo Holly! ! ! Poster Quality.

also Murphy's Law or whatever.

the philsophy is when one tries to do something----doesn't work out

so when one says, "Heck with it" the results are astonishing.

Can't you enter that one in something? Contest or magazine!

Or how about you making a "coffee table" book of photos?

Enjoy Carol

The picture is amazing!

And oh my god. THE EARS. I MUST HAVE ONE. I want his whole snoot to fit in MY hands! :(

And I must admit I am quite excited to see GABBY on a WEE PONY. I agree, nothing could be cuter.

Did you know, there is a mini horse that's been trained as a guide for a blind person? True. Horse's name is Panda, I think. Goes up and down steps, potties on command, leads his person around town, across streets, etc.

The rasping photo is awesome. You make me want to buy a camera.
