Does anyone else see what is wrong with this photo? Ammo had her first tying lesson tonight. And she had a different approach than I have ever seen. While most babies take it fine, other than throwing one little fit for posterity, the great majority of them have pretty little complaint about it. Consistently, they will paw a little when they realize they are well and truly stuck. Anything other than that is noteworthy
She did it differently. Imagine that. A child who will dismantle an entire stall to un-wean herself, and bend steel with the sheer force of her own will can be expected to do things in a more complicated manner.
In the first photo above, note that she is parallel to the wall and not perpendicular which is a more appropriate position. She is actually UNDER the rail. I do not care about this at this stage, I just find it interesting.
In this one, you can see how she is parallel to the wall. She would mash her body up against the wall and SHOVE.
Whether she really thought she was going to move the entire wall to get loose, I do not know. When she wanted to face me, she rarely turned the direction she is now--that would have made sense. It would have made more sense to move her big butt out where it was supposed to be in the first place, but she was sure not going to do that. She tried to wiggle herself under her lead, with her butt to the wall. She was quite persistent, plotting against that wall who would not let go of her. She did not take kindly to being stuck there.
It was very very strange. She is a strange little girl, but so much fun as you never know what is next with her.
Now if I only knew why she looked like she had been in a dust storm

Okay, I know absolutely nothing about horses whatsoever, unless you count reading Black Beauty as a kid, but I have a four-year-old who is just as convinced that things must be done HIS way. LOL :)

Aww... I can only imagine how much 'stuff' you have to put up with with babies! She's a cutie!
