I love this picture of Haida Girl from Saturday morning.

Barry rode her Saturday for about 6 hours, and I rode her Sunday for three, and she gets better all the time. It is hard to believe she is this solid with as little time as she has on her. I trust her as much as I do Twister in the woods---except for that one incident when she left me out there, of course. There are not many horses that can top Twist in reliability and willingness to do whatever needs to be done, no matter how hairy it gets, but she is giving him a run for his money.
She also seems to get bigger by the day and it was really obvious this weekend. She is not the most feminine thing in the world (and that is abundantly clear even when she is the only girl in the pack), but there is nothing else I can find to fault her on. She even decided to make friends with Logan who makes it clear she does not want anything to do with her.

The only thing new to her on this trip was carrying saddle bags. This was the first time we put them on her. When we pack saddle bags, we PACK them--they probably weigh 15 pounds, and she took it in stride like she did it every day.
I am sure I have more pics of her to share, but I have about 300 to get through, but I wanted to make a dent in them before I collapse from exhaustion.

She's beautiful and looks like a seasoned ride.
Mom
Looks like it was a fun weekend. How did your two year old do?
Better than we ever would have asked him to do--that post is coming
I think she is a pretty girl no matter what.
One day I will get down to ride the Shawnee with you. It looks beautiful.
