The truck and trailer are at the semi dealer where the bearings in the trailer were packed. A $70 job cost $253. Explain that to me. But it is done, that is all that matters. My spare tire is at the tire shop being mounted right now, and I have been at work since 8 am.
Head even called to see if something was wrong as he drove by my office and saw how early I was here---what a smart ass.
I realized that I called the WRONG repair place for the dryer. I knew that did not sound right. The place I usually use will have someone out there today or tomorrow morning. Thank goodness, I was at mom's doing laundry until 9:30 last nite, and that is not a good way to get other things done, and it still did not all get done. My pig is feeling neglected, but since it rained, I bet he was okay with that.
Barry is on his way to Dallas for a meeting, and I have company coming in the morning to ride with me over to girls' weekend at Indian Creek. This weekend is our second annual Indian Creek trip and is going to be AWESOME. The temps have dropped to 80 instead of 95, the leaves are changing...it is going to be so much fun. I cannot wait to see Samson the Camel again. I have to go to the grocery store and make some chili tonight to take with me as my donation. I have to remember to get all the extras that I don't eat with it but regular people do, like cheese and onions and crackers.
Plus, I have to get my house in order. And the truck cleaned out, and make a third trip to Omer's to drop off blankets, and pick up the truck and trailer, and go to the post office, and the elevator, and...surely there is more. Oh yeah, track down Gyro for the trip tomorrow--she is in the back pasture. And decided whether to take Slygirl or Radar for me, and go to the liquor store and arrange for the dogs to be tended to while I am gone and until BS gets back. And get shavings.
Good Lord, I do not have time to work, but of course, I have things to get done here as well and all I can think about is what I am going to eat next.

You need a personal assistant.
You tell the truth.
I need a TEAM of them
Or just less excitement in your life ;o)pppppppp
The liquor store watches your dogs when you are away? ;)
Hey, I have an idea, ask your secretary to do your laundry for you. *Snicker*
I forgot about Sampson. Gracious. Cash is going to shit himself over that camel. This could be interesting.
That would be a good system. I forgot a comma. That is why I have a secretary you know. Now you can really laugh
I too wondered how you got the liquor store to act as a kennel! I need to shop there if that's the truth!
Hey, have you checked the lint drawer? You do know you have to clean that occassionally or you will burn your house down, don't you? :)

You do know you have to clean out the lint trap occassionally on the dryer or you will burn your house done?!?!
Yes you smart ass, I know that. My new dryer (this one) has the thing on top which is handy dandy---easy to get too. That makes it hard to forget (but Barry still can)
It is clanking and screaming at me.
Probably just the tennis shoes you left in there. Open the inside & look first. :) Better yet, hang the dang clothes outside on a clothesline! I did that at 6am today with a load of towels. And, that's free, no propane or electric involved!!!
Think I could get away with that with dogs that are four feet tall? there would be laundry everywhere
It occurs to me that the dogs could have stuck something in there from outside where the vent goes--they tore off the covering a long time ago. Sounds like screw drivers are in there
Paige....I gotta tell you....I love reading about your life. It always seems like you leap from one thing to another with a crisis thrown in here and there
It seems that way because that is how it is! If I was four people, it would not be so strange!
You make my day too with sadness AND laughter with all your "activities"
I echo Holly's words
