TWH National Celebration

Woo hoo--I am going to go see Julie show her colt at the TWH National Celebration tomorrow nite. She told me not to post this until it was over and we knew it had gone well, but she is not the boss of me, and I don't have to do what she says. No matter how it goes, I am proud of her for getting back into showing after so many years away from it. Besides, I know it will go great--she is good at this, and she has a great horse that I cannot wait to meet. Julie lives in North Carolina, but Feelin' Good "Felix" (I think I might have named him ,I cannot remember) lives in California, so I have not yet had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. She sends me his ads and show pics, and he sure is a striking fella, isn't he?

TWH are so completely different than my bitty cutters and reiners, and it is like being in a foreign country to be around them, especially in all their glory like it is at Celebration. The pageantry and atmosphere is so dramatic compared to what I am used to--and the men sure look different in their coats and bowlers. It is like a completely different language to me, but it is fun to learn about other disciplines and breedseven if I feel kind of dumb being so out of my element.
Anyway, I cannot wait, and I need you all to cross your fingers for her to have a good show!

The ad pictures, your descriptions of the event are great. I will be cheering for the horse and rider, and will wait for the results of your trip. Does TWH mean Tennessee Walking Horse?

Am learning horses are large people with personalities.

AM sure you have heard the story about Tessa and her feelings for Lorna. I have been told about that-----but to actually SEE the horse pull her ears flat back, and be grumpy with Lorna and purr like a kitty to Bree is ----well unbelievable.

Yes I think Tessa has multiple personality disorder. She has bared those teeth at me too--and I probably would not recognize her if she did not have her ears pinned either. Its strange how sweet she is to Bree.

Yes TWH means Tennessee Walking horse

Cool horse! Love the extension. Why is her horse so far away when there's such a huge TWH group on the East Coast? Just wondering. He's quite handsome. I'm sure Julie and her boy will do great. He is a gorgeous walker.

Because they are training with Russ Thompson, who lives in California. He is one of the best TWH trainers in the business, is in the Hall of Fame, was the Trainer of the Decade in 2000. Plus, he was very nice when I met him today!

I have a jillion pics from last nite and today--FEliz is absolutely stunning, way more than I ever expected
