Plans, plans and more plans

I hear we have help for fence building this weekend. Barry's biking friend is evidently as impatient as I am about getting this fence done, and unlike anyone else in our world, he is actually going to hop in again and help make it happen. I think I might love him.

The temperature is supposed to break, and only be 95 today, and 97 tomorrow. Yeah, that should help, but I will take it.

I just made the appointment for Bocephus the Baconator to get fixed on August 21. Now I just hope I do not forget--although I am pretty confident that is not possible.

I have also been called to see about a stray Great Dane that turned up on my friend's porch, where they found her upon their return from a 10 day vacation. She is a brindle, very thin, and may have been nursing some pups, plus has a limp as if she may have been hit. That breaks my heart and I have not even seen her yet.

Tomorrow I have to drive a puppy around the interstate to get her to a new foster home...an English setter I think.

Sunday, Lorna and Bree are coming to play. Which means I have to clean house, yuck yuck yuck. I hope it is not too hot to play horsey while they are here. Probably I should mow the brown grass too, and stalk the tractor man who has held it hostage for what-6 or 8 weeks by now, and still does not have it done. And of course, the perpetual 27 loads of laundry. Laundry is becoming the bane of my existence

That list looks like a lot, but I still feel like this should be a pretty relaxing weekend. I am probably deluded.

Meanwhile, my parents are in Guatemala with my sister and brother in law and baby Gabi--so I have to remember to tend to all their business at their house like mail, etc. I bet they are having more fun than me, and I hear it is only 75 degrees there--who would have thunk that Central America in August would be cooler than here?

laundry used to pile up big time at my house till I got in the habit of doing one (and only one) load per day. I'm at the point now where I can do one load of tops (tshirts, work shirts, sweats if winter) or one load of bottoms and still hve clothes to wear.....

I do not mind DOING it. I mind putting it up. I think I do laundry around the clock, non-stop every day. Which I do not mind at all except that I would like just one time for it to be ALL DONE.

Last week I gutted the laundry room and cleaned it really good and I liked it. I did not feel like having a panic attack every time I have gone in there. But all the laundry baskets are full, and Barry has piles in the closet that probably will make 10 loads, plus all the bedding.....and that makes me want to commit hare kare.

Such an eventful weekend there Paige. Doing OMG Laundry and all. Yulk! I do probably 2 to 3 loads a day, sometimes none, but mostly 2 - 3, but that's because of Gregory, he changes his clothes at least 5 times a day. He's Such a messy kid. LOL I AM going to ride this weekend come hell or high water. I don't care if it's pouring out at this point. I neeeeeeed to get on a horse and just disappear for a good few days. BEFORE someone gets killed dead. HMPH!

I know the feeling--I could use it too, but had to turn down an invitation to go because I did not fare well from the heat at the 9-day and it is going to be back at 97 and 100 this weekend. Rain, what is that?

Have a good time running away- you deserve it!
