Our security detail

Can you tell it is too dang hot to go outside and see about taking more pics of horses so that I might get this blog back on track? It is. But I feel the need to post pics, so I will post some I took from the swimming pool which is also too hot to be in now. Today that means there are only pics of the dogs, who greet me with the complaint that it is too hot to be outside, then follow me out there to lay around. Even my dogs are liars, evidently.

There are two pics of Simba, who is sorely under-represented on this blog, and also because she is so cute. She scares people the most, but is the best cuddler, and the only one who gives kisses.

The only other interesting thing of the day is Bocephus the Baconater's new skill. When I get home, I chuck him in the bathtub to hang out so the dogs can come in and relax without scaring him to death. This usually makes him very happy, as he takes his pink blanket with him and wallers all up in it. Today he learned a new trick--hopping the edge of the tub. He is very pleased with this new trick, so he has done it twice. Before I discovered it, he celebrated by tearing up a value pack of Tampax, and a newspaper. He is having a good day.
