Not much could have distracted me from the Phoenix show this evening, but Vixen managed to pull a stunt that did.
The bucket got after my poor baby Vixen tonight. Truth be told, she stole it out of my Gator while I was taking pictures of Phoenix playing, but I am sure she would like people to think it attacked her instead of getting herself into this mess on her own.
And nothing or no one could help her with it--she had to do it on her own. First her sisters tried to help, but I think they laughed more than they could help. Then her mother Foxy tried to help her, but once she figured out that if there was feed in that bucket, she would not be getting any, she gave up. She sure did not want my help, under any circumstances. I bet she put that bucket down on the ground ten times before she managed to get it to let loose of her, but finally it did.
The best part of the whole thing was the very beginning when she first realized it was stuck on there. She spent about 5 or 6 seconds running around in a circle and running backwards to try to get away from that evil thing, but once the initial freak was over, she was very matter of fact about it. She just stood there trying to shake it off, or stood quietly while she assessed her options. I probably have 20 pics of her finagling with it before she got it off.
You cannot tell it by how she looks in this series of photos, but I think we might have us a smart kid here!

Oh my goodness, you need to put a WINDEX warning on this post! How absolutely hysterical... Only at Onn-A-Wym could things like this occur AND get captured in pictures! TOOOOOOO Funny!!!!
wow, she's going to be a thinker isn't she? I can just see the bronze statue now.....sitting back on her butt....one little hoof up under her chin......
really though, the fact she didn't KEEP freaking out shows she is very "larn'able".
These picture needs to be in some kind of contest....believe it or not or funniest videos or something. It's definitely "prize" quality. All the pics are great. I look forward to them every day.
Vixen is a hoot.
Lets hope Holly--I was very impressed with the way she handled it. I don't know how long she stood there blinking at me with those long eyelashes, with that bucket hanging off her head.
