Well I do not know when this happened, but I definitely am glad it is happening at last! Squeaklet is growing into herself--she is doing it in bits and pieces, but she is doing it. Two months ago, she
was tall and gangley and pointy and crazy looking. Now she is filling out, getting wider, and dare I say it....perhaps getting attractive? That is crazy talk. I have never seen her sire, but her mother is an eyecatcher--substantial yet still feminine, and a powerhouse to boot. Looks like her daughter may take after her.

She is not as butt high as this left pic shows--she is standing on a hill. She is amazingly balanced considering how she is growing all of a sudden
She has a lot going for her too--so very level headed, personable, and wants to please. She will make someone a great all around kind of horse for the whole family, but ought to make a penner or sorter as well.

Don't you love it when they start growing, gives you hope they might keep growing and catch up with the others. I have a few really small mares and one is never going to get bigger but I have hope that the other two might get a few inches taller. Not that I prefer a tall horse but to get at least 14.2 hands would be more marketable to most.
I forgot, she has a pretty head.
Now that is interesting, that is what I have always considered her downfall! She is definitely growing into it though. The yearling halter actually fits her all the way now, something I am not used to.
REALLY? Her head looks so cute in the picture. Maybe I am weird and like that type of head, it's very pretty to me.
It is definitely changing for the better. I think when she was all gangly and crazy looking, it was too long, but now tht she is filling out, it fits her body better.
I was amazed at how nice it looked in this pic too
