This is going to be a week, and since I am me, I am kind of anxious. Barry is on the road again, in Chicago or Kentucky or both or neither. I cannot keep up. I do know that I called him this morning and accused him of TAKING my bread. He says he did not take it, he ATE it, and what is more, he ate all the good ham as well. AND the cheese, except the Swiss and that is only because he does not like it. A fine way to start the week, but I guess even I saw the absurdity of actually cranking about him eating a ham sammich or 6, but it is interesting what a brave soul about admitting these things he is when he is not home.
Today is my only day with just regular chores of feeding, etc, and putting up eight tons of laundry. Other than that, I am chilling in the pool after work. Oh yeah, probably going to the grocery store for new ham.
Tomorrow after work, I pick up Slygirl at Susan's. I cannot wait! This time sure passed quickly, I hope she learned lots. I have not gotten one single bad report on her, and that just floors me. Susan will tell it like it is, so if one is being bad (Susan would call this a "cotton picker" which kills me, as she does not share my love of the foul language), she will tell it.
On Wednesday, I hope for the farrier to knock out a few trims---Fonzie in particular is absurdly long all of a sudden, and he needs to work with Rondee to see what he thinks of her brain. He has such a knack with one, especially a scaredy one, that his input will be very valuable to me. I hope he can come Wednesday instead of Thursday, as Thursday nite, Squeaklet and Square Baby are going to a colt-starting thing with a guy I hear great things about. They are the demo horses. I am sure they will be fine, as they are both very level-headed and maybe someone will make an offer on Squeaklet--seems like that usually happens when I take one to these demos.
So one day at a time, I guess.
