First ultrasounds of the year

occurred this morning. This time of year requires me to get out of bed entirely too early. It is not easy to do all this and still work full-time.

But it was all worth it--Miss Maggs (Tom and Andrea's mare, mother of the divine but bad CocoLu) is in foal with a pretty little blob of about 21 days. Melody is right on schedule at day 16. Xan is open but I suspected she would be as I believed we quit her too early. She should be ready to roll by the end of the week.

I also think we missed Gyro because she had that scary incident that interfered with any further breeding. We had entirely too much going on with outside mares to breed Hotrod on her foal heat, so we ought to be seeing her first real heat soon, and that will surely go well.

I don't know how it got to this part so fast!

Tomorrow is a big day for the young men of Onn-A-Wym Farms.....it is gelding day! I don't think I will tell them this in advance
