I finally did it, I got a 6 x4 Gator to run around the farm. I love it! It is a few years old but runs great and now I dont feel obligated to crash it into things, since it already has some dings etc.
It has already come in handy to haul feed to the back pasture and check up on the back pasture horses without getting my boots sucked off in the mud.
While we were out there, we did everyone's updated PK1 shots....getting closer and closer to foaling season all the time!
We also brought in the remaining babies to have some ivomec and get cleaned up. It may take them two days to dry first though. The two duns, Ding a Ling and Voodoo, are so precious. Voodoo is the sweetest little boy and such a smart kid, and Ding is so tiny--I forget she is so much younger than everyone else. She has something about her--a certain cockiness, and adventurous nature--just cracks me up to have all that wrapped up in such a tiny package! What a little powerhouse she is going to be.
We missed sorting practice yesterday as we were busy with visitors--Sly certainly seems to be relieved that people are coming to see him again. I think he wonders where everyone went during the winter months!
He was his usual laid back self during visiting hours. I wish he would show people his personality when they visit--I mean the funny quirks of his personality, not just his laid back temperament. He did one funny, but I am not sure the visitors caught it----he answers me when I ask him questions. I asked him if he was done visiting and ready to go back to play, and he nodded his head at me. I know he is answering me ( I SWEAR he is), but they probably don't so did not likely even notice. No one has to know that he always answers every question with a yes instead of a no!
