Mystery of the Roany Pony

No doubt about it--the Roany Pony does not have any funk--she is just shedding out to a very roany condition. What used to be bald on her butt is now white hairs
I took a bunch of pics of her tonight, and you can really see how her white spots are turning into huge white patches. It won't be long before they all run into each other.
Even if she did not have all that color, she would be a beauty. Under that pale orange hair on her legs and face is a darker, almost brown color. And she has the tiniest little head, shaped so pretty.
And lots of muscles but she is very feminine.
I think she looks a lot like mama.
This is a doofy picture, but it shows a lot of her patches at once.
See how pale she is? It is amazing how dark she is under there.
I cannot wait to see what she looks like in a few weeks.

I am concentrating on this tonite, because virtually everything else today was a disaster. We got the word that there will be no paychecks tomorrow. I do not know anyone who can take that kind of hit and not be spun a little off her axis. It is so frustrating and scary.

Secondly, I made the decision on Nita. I intend to do the deed tomorrow, if I can get things to fall into place. I think I can.

Third, tomorrow is going to be a rough day. Not only am I dealing with Nita, but there is a field trip at my farm over my lunch hour. A FIELD TRIP. With children. Gracious, that will be interesting. The last time I had a field trip, it was head start kids, and when they asked me where the daddies of the babies were, I told them that we don't let them live here because we do not like daddies around here. Perfect audience for that crack, huh? I am such a dolt.

Cross your fingers I do not say anything that stupid tomorrow. I do not hold out much hope.

That is hysterical. Really and truly funny....since it did not happen to me.

I am sorry about Nita, Paige. She was lucky to spend her last years with you.

Love the foany filly's color! Very unique. Like you, curious to see how she looks when she is shed out.
Have fun with the kiddos. I am teaching summer camp and a 3 yr. old hit me on the head with a maraca today!! Nice!

WOW she is going to be one heck of a roan!!! That is great news!! And she does look like her mama, I think their faces are very similar!

Well that is just a pisser about your paycheck!!! I mean COME ON this is just ridiculous!!! I feel for you...

And I am glad you made your decision, and I know you will be sad but you are doing what is right for you and her...

Good luck with the kiddo's!! I'll keep my finger's crossed for words of wisdom only LOL!!

Good thoughts coming your way on your rough day today.

Your tour comments do crack me up though! I can imagine what those kids told everyone about what you said - LOL!

I'm so sorry about Nita. What a difficult decision to make for our extended family.

As for the paycheck business....that just stinks to high heaven. Will they pay interest on the money they owe? I bet crap like that really makes you think about going into the private sector hugh?

I'm sorry to hear about Nita, Paige... but you can take some comfort in knowing that she had a great life with you- someone that cared a lot about her!

I still can't believe you guys aren't getting paid this week. I hope that turns around too.

And $1800 for Barry's apartment?!?! Does it have a live-in butler?!?! (Apartments around here are a little more affordable for the most part!)

I'm so sorry about Nita. It's some comfort that you've given her the best life she could have, and that you're letting her go when it's time. Not much comfort, but some.

The paycheck thing sucks.

Sorry about Nita and the paycheck situation. I live paycheck to paycheck every week, we would literally starve if that happened to me! Great pics of the roan baby!

Ugh she is perfect, she is exactly my type. I want her. Can't wait to see her all "finished."

She is going to be a stunner. I think she even moves and carries herself like her momma. Beautiful.
